Be A Star

To change an industries practices and behaviours and focus them on the critical health and safety risks, we need provide risk knowledge to all employees. Be a Star is a critical skill set required by all employees operating within the agriculture sector.

What's in the course?

Participants will learn new skills required to address their specific individual challenges, be given an introduction to ‘dynamic risk assessment’ and be able to utilise the tools and practices required to conduct effective safety conversations about risk assessments.

The course is highly interactive and employs the latest adult based learning principles using small group activities, scenarios and role play interactions to develop learning outcomes.

Participants of the Half Day ‘Be a Star’ course will take-away a clear understanding of:

  • Good safety is good business
  • What ‘Being a Safety Star’ is and what we can do every day to make a difference.
  • The skills required to identify when risks change The skills required to STOP and review to assess ‘Dynamic Risk’ and to consider effective controls
