We chose the Māori word Pāmu not just for its literal meaning ‘to farm’ but also to reflect the Māori concept of guardianship of the environment (kaitiakitanga). At Pāmu we understand our unique privileged position as guardians of our people and our land.
A number of accidents and near-miss incidents taught us early on that we couldn’t leave safety to chance. So together with Wilson we developed a suite of training courses and programmes to help keep our people safe – Pāmu Academy. Pāmu Academy is a joint venture between Pāmu Farms of New Zealand and Wilson Consulting and works by significantly changing the health and safety culture of your business.
Our tried and tested methods have delivered:
We’re proud to have led the development of health and safety best practice in New Zealand. We have embedded an effective health and safety culture in our business and created a better work environment for our people. We think we’ve developed something pretty special and we’d like you to join us because doesn’t everyone deserve to return home to their family healthy and safe, every day.
